The Alan Chaimov, M.D., and Anne Chaimov Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Dr. Chaimov, an Ophthalmologist who practiced at The Corvallis Clinic from 1962 to 1999. The Chaimov family resided in Corvallis for 56 years and their four children attended Crescent Valley High School. This one-time scholarship, in the amount of $1,000, was awarded to a Crescent Valley High School student who expresses an interest in entering a health-related career field or the humanities.

Danielle has been accepted to the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls to study nursing. After the first two years, she will apply to OHSU’s nursing program and take the exam to become a Registered Nurse. Her ultimate goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner.
She is a member of the National Honor Society and was Captain of the Varsity Swim Team. Her many volunteer activities include a native wetland tree planting project, and volunteering at the Heartland Humane Society and the South Corvallis Food Bank.
Her High School Counselor describes Danielle as “a person of strong moral character. She is a very humble student despite her many rock star attributes. Honesty is one of her top attributes.”
